New Life COTR Missions Ministries
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you:" Mathew 28:19-20a
At New Life COTR we approach missions on two levels. First we believe in supporting local
pastors and churches in their efforts to fulfill the Great Commission, and secondly we
believe in going ourselves. To this end New Life COTR supports a variety of Missions
endeavors
Upcoming Romania Missions Trip
December 2007
This past December, New Life COTR's senior Pastor, Pastor Kenneth Woolf, traveled to Romania to conduct a
series of services and meetings, in the former communist nation.
Starting with a Pastor's Conference, he imparted a greater vision
for the expansion of God's Kingdom in the nation of Romania, as well
as a rekindling the fire and passion among Romania's indigenous
Pastors.
After ministering at the Pastor's Conference, he traveld to a local church in the Cluj area to share the Gospel of Christ with that community.
Lastly Pastor Kenneth Woolf spent some time teaching at the Christ for the Nations Romanian Bible
School. At the school, God gave him opportunity to speak specifically to the next generation
of pastors and leaders for the church in Romania.
Agua Ministries
Ongoing
Agua Resources is a ministry
that travels to other parts of the world to drill water wells in order to bring people
clean drinking water. They plan different mission trips all through out the year to go and drill water wells in Mexico.
They are always "Looking for a Few Good Men" to go with them. If you are interested in
touching a life by giving them something that we take for granted every day, please
contact New Life COTR church office at 409-769-0628.
Global Advance
Ongoing
New Life Church on the Rock actively supports the work of
Global Advance. The purpose of this
ministry is to fulfill the Great Commission by providing indigenous pastors with the tools and training
necessary to see God's work fulfilled in their own country.
They do this by hosting Pastors conferences in the countries and regions that need it most.
These conferences
see hundreds and thousands of local pastors and lay leaders. These pastors travel great
distances to attend these
conferences (often on foot) just to increase their knowledge and understanding of God's word in order that they
may have something to impart to their flocks back home.
Romania, Summer Youth Camp
July 2007
This past summer New Life COTR's Senior Pastor, Pastor Kenneth Woolf, and others from the
congregation of New Life Church on the Rock had the opportunity to impact
the lives of young people in the country of Romania. In the month of July,
Pastor Kenneth Woolf, Justin Woolf, Monica Chapman and Staci Woolf participated in a
Christ for the Nations Youth Camp that saw over 500 youth touched mightily
by the hand of God.
From the beginning of the camp it was evident there
was a freedom in Holy Spirit that increased daily and as a result many young
people were saved, delivered and healed by the power of God. It’s clear
that God is moving through the county of Romania and He is using the youth
to move this country from years of oppression into a fresh move of God that
is setting the captives free and encouraging the people of Romania to
experience a life-giving relationship with God through His Son, Jesus
Christ.
Pastor Kenneth Woolf opened the youth camp preaching on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which
led to the altars being full of young people seeking a deeper experience
with God and breaking the hold of religion on their lives. Pastor Kenneth Woolf
closed the camp out preaching a message titled “Untie the Donkey.” Through
this message the young people were set free from the bondages of the past
and released into their God given destiny.
Uganda Pastors Conference
August 2007
In August New Life COTR's Senior Pastor, Pastor Kenneth Woolf, had the opportunity to participate
in a “Global Advance Frontline Shepherds” conference in Ft. Portal Uganda.
The conference was led by Pastor Dale Witt who has been with “Global
Advance” for several years and has been the point man in ministering to
thousands of Frontline Shepherds.
The conference was held in the church of Apostle KL
Dickson and had over 2200 pastors and church leaders in attendance from
Uganda and three surrounding countries. Over 75% of the pastors and leaders
committed to planting a church in the future throughout that region.
From the beginning it was evident we were part of
Sovereign move of God as the Holy Spirit ministered in power through the
preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Pastor Kenneth Woolf also had the
opportunity to speak over a local radio station that reached over 30 million
people.
Although the conference was focused equipping pastor
and leaders there were still approximately 185 people born again through the
ministry of the conference and radio station.
SARA Mission Center
Ongoing
SARA Mission Center of Asia operates several ministries in Nepal including an orphanage,
15 churches, and a Bible Training Center. The goal of SARA is to continue to plant churches
in the villages and towns of Nepal and to that end they are constantly striving to raise up
men of God to lead those churches. A typical pastor in Nepal lives on $70.00 a month.
New Life COTR has partnered with other local churches to help in the raising up of pastors
for this largely ignored nation where the Gospel has only recently been given free reign.
Local pastors however remain in constant danger from the Maoist rebels, the Hindu village
leaders, as well as the ever present dangers of thieves and animal attacks. Please pray for
the safety and financial support of these men and women living on the front lines of the
Gospel.
Cluj Christian Center, Romania
Ongoing
New Life COTR is actively supporting Cluj Christian Center, and its pastor, Dennis Pence.
Dennis is a graduate of Christ for the nations Bible school, and has been serving on the mission field for several years.
He is part of the initial group that planted Cluj Christian Center, in the Romanian metropolis of Cluj-Napoca.
It was planted with a vision of providing an unfettered church for worship and the teaching of God's word to a country
dominated by religion, but lacking the intimacy that comes with a relationship with God.
