Our Story

New Life Church on the Rock began about six years ago, when a group of people from the area approached our "mother" or main area church, Golden Triangle COTR, in Beaumont, TX, about helping to provide pastoral leadership for them.

Dr. Ron Hammonds, the Senior Pastor of Golden Triangle COTR, put together a pastoral "team" to provide teaching, pastoral, youth and other workers for the church.

This dedicated group of believers along with the help from the team that had been sent worked tirelessly to refurbish an old store front on main street in Vidor.

It wasn't long before a great congregation had developed, and Pastor Kenneth Woolf and his wife Jeanie and family moved from Colorado and became the Senior Pastors of New Life COTR.

Since that time, our church has grown and grown, we have acquired and paid off land and a metal building, soon to be erected on the new property on Hwy. 105.

We have added new staff members as well, and are excited about being a part of our large family of 8 area Churches on the Rock!
